External course: Social networks and ethnic identifications

Dr José Luis Molina from Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (Spain) will carry out a one-week course on social networks and ethnic identifications. Lectures will take place from March 31st to April 4th and will be held in English. The course is also available for the foreign students at the department.

SCHEDULE:
Monday, March 31st – Presentation and introductory lecture on social networks. (16:20 – 18:00, seminar room.)

Tuesday, April 1st – Workshop: Sociocentric networks with Pajek (program available on-line: http://vlado.fmf.uni-lj.si/pub/networks/pajek/). (15:20 – 17:10, library.)

Wednesday, April 2nd – Introductory lecture on personal networks and identifications. (14:40 – 16:20, seminar room)

Thursday, April 3rd – Workshop: Personal networks with EgoNEt (free software provided at the lecture). (15:20 – 17:10, library.)

Friday, April 4th – Discussion about ethnicity, social networks and identifications. (14:40 – 16:20, seminar room.)

Seminar (consultations) will be held on Thursday, April 3rd, from 13:00 to 14:40 in seminar room.
